The English competition

The students of our school fight with English.

On 19th  March students of our school (though it is a technical school)  joined an English competition which took place at the Grammar school of Hejčín. Students were competing in two categories, the first category was for students who studied or lived abroad for more than half-year or whose education is provided in English language only, and the second category was for students who have regular English lessons few times a week at school. Competitors were competing in two tasks, one was listening to a record from the life in England and the second was about discussing topics based on American citations. Our school sent to the competition two boys, both from the third grade: Lukáš Václavík who studied in the USA and Adam Roubíček who lived in Australia. These students did a great job in representing our school that is not focused on language studies, although they didn’t win. Now, we are looking forward for the next opportunities to show that technical type of students can measure their forces even in categories that aren’t typical for them.
